Art journal challenge week four done.
This weeks page was a real struggle. I just was not feeling it at all and it shows. I mean, I don’t think it’s terrible but it’s definitely lacking. Then again, I sort of felt lacking this week, so it’s actually a pretty true reflection isn’t it!
Oh, I feel much better about it now. 😃
Now, this week the temperature where I live has at times reached 44°C. That is way to hot for this little chicken. I become completely useless. So when it came time to do this weeks journal, I was not feeling very enthusiastic to say the least. But I set myself a challenge and I am sticking to it. I was also feeling sorry for myself because I am lacking in the art journaling supplies area. I so want some more things to play with but I am trying to save my pennies and have told myself I am not to spend any money until March. So for the next month I am going to have to get creative with what I have. A challenge within a challenge!
With this weeks page I just used one Dylusions ink spray in Pomegranite Seed, a couple of stencils, some stamps, a white gelly roll pen, which I used to fill in the failed gesso/stencil attempt, which I didn’t like either, so I covered that with black acrylic paint.
Although I am not thrilled with this page, I still love the background. The pomegranite seed is a beautiful colour and I love all the patterns it creates when you layer it and use it with stencils. So that’s the positve here right? All in all, it’s mine and that’s all it needs to be.
Thanks so much for reading and watching everyone! I really do appreciate it. 🙌🏼
