Cardmaking Process – Sloth Birthday Card

Today’s video is a cardmaking process video. I used two stamp sets that I picked up on the cheap to make this card. The leaf stamp came from a set called Beach Dreams by Creative Place that I got at ALDI and the sloth stamp set I got for only $2.50 at my local Reject Shop. They both turned out to be a great find! They stamp really well considering their bargain price.

So for this card I started out by cutting the scalloped edge frame using the Mama Elephant Framed Tags Waverly Die Set and then from that, I cut out a hole off centre using the Sizzix Concentric Circles Dies. Marking where the hole was on a backing piece of card stock as a guide, I then repeat stamped the leave pattern using Altenew Crisp Dye Ink in two different colours to cover the hole and as a border around the edge. Using the same ink, I blended the two on another piece of cardstock and used the circle die again to cut a border for the circle.

I combined two sentiments from the sloth stamp set and stamped one in the green ink used for the leaves and the other in black. I then stamped out my sloth image, coloured him in using Copic Markers and cut him out ready for the front of my card. I attached the scallop edge front to the backing using double-sided tape and glued the circle border on using the Lawn Fawn glue tube. Finally I attached my little sloth using  adhesive squares to add some dimension.

And that’s it! I hope you like it. ☺️
