‘The Making Of A Card’ Festive Series #2 Friendly Snowball Fight

For the second installment in the ‘Making Of A Card’ Festive Series I have made a card combining two different stamp sets from Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn.

Using Poppycrafts cardstock and Distress Ink, I start by blending three different colours to give a winter’s evening sky. Then using a decorative border trimmer, I cut two separate landscapes from white cardstock for the snowy ground and using the Mama Elephant ‘Peek A Frame’ Die set and the Sizzix Big Shot, I cut borders on to all three pieces and using double sided tape, attached them together. I finished the background by stamping on a sentiment from the Mama Elephant ‘Jingle Greetings’ stamp set. The next step was stamping all the features using the Mama Elephant ‘Yappy Christmas’ and Lawn Fawn ‘ Happy Village’ stamp sets, which I then coloured using a variety of Copic Markers, and cut out by hand.

To attach the cut outs to the card I used the Xyron 1.5 inch sticker maker and Lawn Fawn glue. At that’s it. A playful little snowball fight scene. I hope you like it!
